Looking back on the last 12 months I've come to realise something...I am EXTREMELY blessed. I often find myself in beautiful locations and Willunga, South Australia is one of those places with beautiful people. Jemima & Klynt came into my life earlier in 2017 and I was quick to notice that their was something really special about these two. Family plays a big part of their makeup and this is something that will always resonate with me. The beauty in both their families can only be described in a way in which I merely don't have the words for to give it the justice it deserves. I couldn't have asked for a better couple full of heart to end my 2016/2017 wedding season with. I'm so grateful for these guys!
Come on in and have a look at their big day; I'll be chiming in along the way to shed a little extra context for ya'll.
We had an early start to the day at Klynt's favourite cafe in Aldinga, 'MAXWELL'S'
Jemima predicted that her Dad would laugh when he saw her as a bride for the first time. He didn't disappoint.
This church in Strathalbyn is easily my favourite church I've been able to photograph a wedding in. Bucket loads of natural light and just so so quaint!
A family friend lent his 1950s Rolls Royce to Jemima & Klynt for part of the day. What a beauty!
I think Klynt is a wee bit happy he's married!
Who is this beautifully bearded man!?
Jemima is 1 of 9 kids in her family!
Klynt looked both ways before crossing. Good job Klynt!
Sunset was next level that night! These colours in the sky are one of my favourite things in life.
This photo...this photo is my favourite photo I've EVER taken. There. I said it.
Jemima's Dad Rod had this shed specifically built for the reception and it did not disappoint at all. This is a Pinterest wedding planners dream.
Klynt's nephew Fletcher noticed Klynt was cupping the mic which affects the audio quality and he needed to remind Klynt not to do it so the quality of the sound would be better.....he's 3.
Jemima & Klynt had some beautiful kind words for me after their big day and I can't help but share them with you!
Here's what they had to say.
"My husband Klynt and I recently got married, and we are so very glad that we found and chose Alex to photograph our day! Initially we were very overwhelmed by the competitiveness of the wedding photography industry, with seemingly endless comparable options. But somehow Alex's work, his passion and gifting for telling people's stories through photography stood out from the rest, enough for us to feel excited to meet him. We immediately felt at ease when we met Alex for the first time, he was super relaxed but also professional, we felt sure that we would be in good hands. About a week before our big day, Alex drove across town and spent a fun arvo with us, scouting out photo locations. He assured us that he would hang out with us like a friend on the day; and that's exactly how it was. We both feel that Alex really added to our special day, helping it to flow naturally, adding fun, and just being genuine in enjoying such a momentous occasion alongside us. And now we have the most incredible set of photographic memories to look back on for the rest of our lives, and for our children to cherish after that. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alex to capture your special occasion! You will enjoy interacting with him on a personal level, get amazingly artistic photos that capture real emotion in the most natural way, and gain a friend for life."
